European Asbestos Services are a well-established licensed asbestos removal and UKAS accredited Consultancy who undertakes works across the UK from 4 regional offices. A vacancy has arisen for a focused, enthusiastic and ambitious Health and Safety Consultant with a broad range of asbestos experience join their Head Office in Middlesex.
Qualifications & Experience:
By virtue of the company activities a thorough understanding of the asbestos industry is essential with relevant experience and qualifications – ideally the CCP or a variety of BOHS P modules.
Additionally health and safety qualifications are required, NEBOSH General/Construction certificate or equivalent as a minimum.
Experience and knowledge of waste regulations and BSI Management systems (9001/14001/18001) would be desirable.
Role:
Ensuring technical compliance with all asbestos and other associated health, safety and environmental legislation on sites and within the office environments.
Providing technical support, assistance and advice to colleagues at all levels of the business from site staff to the board of directors.
To identify and drive through health, safety and environmental improvements across the business.
Managing the auditing programme to cover sites and offices and to monitor and report on the findings at regular Contracts and Board Meetings.
Deliver company health and safety inductions to new staff.
Investigation of accidents, near misses and incidents
Production and technical review of method statements, risk assessments and various health, safety and environmental policies including the company standard procedures for asbestos removal
Identification, organisation and delivering staff training requirements
Maintenance of the existing BSI 9001/14001/18001 integrated management systems to include internal auditing and transition to the revised standards (for 9001/14001) by 2018.
Role based in Sunbury on Thames - Nationwide travel may be required. Company Vehicle provided.
